87 listen count

I love the Beatles. Who doesn't, right?
But somehow I managed to miss these two songs: "Polythene Pam" and "She Came In Through the Bathroom Window" off of Abbey Road ... the crazy thing is, I love "Golden Slumbers" and "Carry That Weight", the two songs that help conclude the giant medley that is Abbey Road and directly follow these two hidden treasures ...

So, my iTunes tells me I've now listened to these two songs (together, always) 87 times in the last month. That's when a friend mentioned liking the tunes, causing me to respond, "Polythene Pam? What's that?!!?"

  1. This blog layout really is hideous. It goes beyond the polka dots and ponies . . . I don't like how those horses' heads are whickering over the text, like Mr. Ed with a last retort.

I don't think I've ever listened to the album "Abbey Road", though I've certainly heard songs from the album. But I know the album is the experience--it's like how an anthology of poetry can be 50 poems--49 are the poems, and the anthology itself is the 50th poem.

But I am a fan of "Sgt Pepper" . . . love that album, minus the sitar-induced acid-trips.

  2. Um, I don't like the Beatles. I have been alienated in my family because of said hatred. That guy is holding a cigarette as well, so maybe we should just call that album CANCER ROAD!!! Let me reiterate, without fear of becoming a societal pariah, I DO NOT LIKE THE BEATLES. But I LURVE your layout-Giddyap Erin!
